'SCTV' comedian Dave Thomas says he's going to Ukraine to tell 'human side' of war

After a brush with death, “SCTV” actor Dave Thomas says he is going to war-torn Ukraine to make a video for the Kyiv-based Ukrainian Freedom Fund, co-founded by his friend, a retired colonel for the US Marine Corps Reserve. Thomas says he hopes to drive donations and do something meaningful with the rest of his life. (April 29, 2025)
