The Opposition parties are redoubling their efforts to get more transparency over the SNC-Lavalin controversy, following a bombshell interview former federal Treasury Board president Jane Philpott gave to Maclean's magazine. In the interview, Philpott says she had concerns before the controversy became public in January, but that she has been prevented from discussing them, alleging efforts by the Prime Minister’s Office to “shut down the story.” NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says a public inquiry into the matter is needed now more than ever.
