Canada can opt out of China-U.S. row: Philippines
The foreign minister of the Philippines, Enrique Manalo, says Canada can help maintain the post-war order in the Indo-Pacific by maintaining peaceful relations with both the U.S. and China. During a visit to Canada, he says Ottawa can have a good working relationship with both Beijing and Washington by asserting its own interests and the importance of the international rules that were formed at the end of the Second World War.
