    Defence minister: Advance team on the ground in the Philippines

    The defence minister says Canadian assistance is on route for victims of typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Rob Nicholson says an assessment team is in the country, but the quick-response DART unit is on standby in Hawaii.
