Ford apologizes for COVID-19 measures, pledges sick leave
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has apologized for introducing COVID-19 measures that gave more powers to police and shuttered playgrounds. Ford says that he made a mistake but argues he still has authority to lead the province. He has also pledged a provincial sick-leave policy for essential workers after resisting doing so for months.
