Government to slightly increase immigration to Canada over next three years

Federal Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino has announced the government’s planned immigration intake, saying the increases over the next three years are intended to bolster the Canadian economy. His announcement came as borders around the world are closing due to the spread of COVID-19, but Mendicino suggests panic is not the right response.
