    Indigenous rights bill could be 'transformational,' Lametti says

    Federal Justice Minister David Lametti says the government's new bill to harmonize the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples with Canadian law is a significant step on the path to reconciliation that could be "transformational" for everyone in Canada. Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett says too often Indigenous Peoples have not had their rights upheld.
