Kenney warns federal assessment bill a threat to national unity

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney is in Ottawa today meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and testifying at a Senate committee about the government's proposed overhaul of the environmental assessment process. Kenney said the bill is pushing thoughts of secession in Alberta and said he will launch a constitutional challenge if the bill passes as is. Federal ministers dismiss his unity threats as irresponsible and say the bill is needed to give confidence back to the process.
