    Minister says Ottawa will match donations to help people affected by wildfires

    Emergency Management Minister Eleanor Olszewski says the federal government will match donations to Canadian Red Cross to support wildfire relief and disaster recovery efforts in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. She says the federal government has deployed military personnel and equipment to help with evacuations in northern Manitoba and will provide similar resources in Saskatchewan and Alberta if requests are made. (June 3, 2025)
