N.S. officials up health restrictions amid rise in COVID-19 cases

Nova Scotia is imposing new restrictions in the Halifax area following a steady rise in the number of active COVID-19 infections in the region. Chief medical officer Dr. Robert Strang says starting Saturday, restaurants and bars will be forced to stop serving food and beverages at 9 p.m. and close by 10 p.m. — one hour earlier than under the previous health order.
