Newsroom Ready: Charges against Nova Scotia woman dropped in racial profiling case
Crown prosecutors in Halifax have dropped charges against a woman who accused police of racial profiling after she was arrested at a Walmart. Santina Rao was facing charges of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer following an incident in January. The 23-year-old has said she became upset on Jan. 15 when police accused her of concealing items while shopping in the store.
