Newsroom Ready: Ontario should allow restorative justice in cases involving sexual offences, new report says
A new report by the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund and the nonprofit Community Justice Initiatives is calling on the Ontario government to lift a prohibition on the use of restorative justice as an alternative to criminal prosecution in cases involving sexual offences. Advocates say survivors deserve a choice in how their cases play out. (Nov. 27, 2025).
