Federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Ahmed Hussen and Ontario Minister of Education Stephen Lecce announced an additional $147 million in federal money toward the province’s restart of childcare centers amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They said the money would allow for the safe reopening of thousands of childcare centers and would enhance the province’s COVID-19 prevention strategy.
