The Newfoundland and Labrador government revealed Tuesday that whoever was behind a cyberattack that has hobbled its health-care system managed to access personal information of patients and employees. The attack was first detected on Oct. 30 and has resulted in thousands of appointment cancellations and forced some hospitals to operate strictly with pen and paper.
