    Police focus efforts on combatting auto theft

    Canada has a severe auto theft problem, and the issue is particularly acute in the Greater Toronto Area. Detective Scott Cresswell’s unit of ten officers at York Regional Police are on the front lines of attempts to combat auto theft. He said while overall car theft has declined, violent carjackings are on the rise. (Sep. 28, 2024)
