Singh warns of numbing effect of unmarked gravesite discoveries
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says Canadians need to resist becoming desensitized to Indigenous trauma after the Cowessess First Nation announced it had found up to 751 unmarked graves at the site of a former residential school in southeastern Saskatchewan. Singh is calling on the federal government to fund more search efforts and implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action.
