Tokyo had over 100 deaths linked to heatstroke in July alone due to high temperatures

Japan saw the hottest July since records began in 1898 and heatstroke warnings remained in Tokyo and much of the west of the country on Tuesday as authorities urged people to take precautions. According to local authorities, more than 100 died from suspected heatstroke in July in Tokyo.
