Canadian outpouring over residential school discovery can bring healing, says survivor

The discovery of the remains of 215 children at the former residential school in Kamloops, B.C. can bring long-awaited change, says a school survivor who has written books and poems about being Indigenous in Canada. Garry Gottfriedson says the reaction to the horrible tragedy has been uplifting in the sense Canadians are demanding governments and the church address the past and future when it comes to relations with Indigenous people.
