Pokémon GO is helping small businesses affected by COVID-19
Pokémon GO , is helping small businesses
affected by COVID-19.
The makers of the popular augmented reality game are working on helping small businesses hit by COVID-19.
The game requires users to look for characters based on real life locations.
And it will now drive players to head toward real life small businesses.
The company is promoting 1,000 local businesses in the app for one year.
Players nominated over 38,000 businesses.
The chosen companies will be advertised through in-game locations,
such as PokéStops or Gyms.
Becoming a sponsored location will drive awareness and aid in the recovery of both the businesses and the communities which they serve, Niantic, via statement
