Governor General returns home to Nunavik
Gov. Gen. Mary Simon began her five-day tour of Nunavik, the Inuit homeland in northern Quebec, with a stop in Kuujjuaq. She met with elders, local officials, Inuit leaders and a local school. Simon also visited the Isuarsivik Recovery Centre, which provides holistic addictions and trauma treatment focused on reconnecting with Inuit culture.
