Newsroom Ready: Canada wants to ensure its mining companies work responsibly in Chile: Trudeau
The prime minister and president of Chile sat down and answered questions with high school students in Ottawa Monday. Asked about the future of Canadian mining companies working in Chile, Chilean President Gabriel Boric says his government wants to demand Canadian companies to behave in Chile as if they were in Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his government wants to make sure those companies operate responsibly, noting that some do not.
