Family caught up in India-Pakistan tensions faces anguish as boy denied treatment, mother kept apart

A Pakistani family who went to India for their son’s medical treatment has been separated indefinitely on either side of the India-Pakistani border, following last week’s Pahalgam attack. Under orders for Pakistani visa holders in India to leave the country within the 48 hours that followed the attack, father and son crossed back into the Pakistan. But the mother, an Indian passport holder, was stopped at the border and denied entry. (AP video/ Muhammad Farooq)
