Hudson's Bay Company records give public chance to ‘reconnect’ with ancestors

The Archives of Manitoba has opened its doors to allow the public a chance to view some of the thousands of documents, maps and records it houses permanently as part of the Hudson's Bay Company Archives. None of the items in the archives are included in an auction planned by the beleaguered retailer, which is preparing to sell off thousands of artifacts and art pieces as it liquidates stores and seeks buyers for its assets.
