Newsroom Ready: Historic Alberta movie theatre being restored
Restoration work is underway on the historic Roxy Theatre in Coleman, Alta., one of three Quonset-style theatres remaining in Canada. The building, built in 1948, came from the U.S. army, which had surplus huts after the Second World War and many were converted to movie theatres. (Dec. 1, 2024)
