NHL, NHLPA agree to CBA extension

The NHL and the NHL Players' Association have agreed to an extension of the collective bargaining agreement that will ensure labour peace through the 2029-30 season. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Marty Walsh made the announcement ahead of the first round of the draft, but provided few details on a deal that still needs to be ratified by both sides.
