Report says Lapu Lapu festival's plan followed rules

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim says the Lapu Lapu Day festival where 11 people were killed in April was well organized and all the right steps were taken to prepare. The city released its preliminary report into the tragedy when an SUV rammed through a crowd of people just after the event ended. (May 16, 2025)
