Nenshi, NDP win Edmonton byelections while UCP hang on to rural seat

Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi now has a seat in the legislature after winning a byelection in Edmonton-Strathcona. Nenshi's NDP also won in Edmonton-Ellerslie while the United Conservative Party won in Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills. Nenshi says voters are sending a message to the UCP government. (June 24, 2025)
