A police officer was shot and killed and another wounded on Friday evening in New Jersey, authorities said. Authorities say the slain officer, 25-year-old Joseph Azcona, was part of a Newark police intelligence team that had gone to capture a suspect in an illegal weapons investigation when he was fired on in his vehicle.
