Goodale describes military deployment to deal with severe flooding

Federal Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Minister Ralph Goodale says members of the Canadian Armed Forces will be helping with those affected by flooding in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. He says more troops will be sent to the regions if needed. Goodale says the government is closely watching a dam in Quebec that officials say is at risk from rising water levels due to heavy rain in the region. He says the area around the dam has been evacuated because of the potential for failure.
