New restrictions for B.C. due to Omicron variant

British Columbia is placing restrictions on events and gatherings in an effort to help hospitals not be overwhelmed by the Omicron variant of COVID-19. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the restrictions include limits on venues that hold more than 1,000 people to 50 per cent capacity until Jan. 31 and the cancellation of all New Year's Eve parties.
