Guilbeault defends slow progress on promise to plant two billion trees by 2030

The NDP is slamming the federal government for planting only 8.5 million trees so far after promising in 2019 to plant two billion by 2030. Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault refers to his reputation as a tree-hugger as he explains it takes time to grow seedlings before they can be planted.
