Obesity Surgery Benefits Teens, Study Shows

Results of an ongoing study released online Monday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics show that obese teens who undergo gastric surgery improve their overall medical condition and quality of life. The National Institutes of Health paid for the study. (Nov. 4)
