National Cathedral Removes Confederate Windows
The Washington National Cathedral is removing two stained glass windows depicting the lives of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. In a statement, the cathedral said the images are "inconsistent" with its mission. (Sept. 6)
