Newsroom Ready: Response to first wave of COVID-19 buys time to prepare for a second: Tam

The first wave of COVID-19 didn't blow past Canadian hospitals' capacity to handle sick patients but the system needs to keep adding capabilities in case a second wave is much worse, Dr. Theresa Tam says. Long-term care centres are still in the thick of the fight in many places, as well, and can't be overly prepared for a second round.
