Yasser Ahmed Albaz, a 51-year-old man from Oakville, Ont., has been in a Cairo prison since he was detained at the airport as he was about to come home from a business trip earlier this year. His family and supporters are urging Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne to secure his release while he is in Egypt this week. Champagne raised the case when he spoke with his Egyptian counterpart Wednesday.
