Canada commits $5M in emergency aid for Beirut blast
International Development Minister Karina Gould says Canada is committing $5 million in emergency aid to help Lebanon in the immediate aftermath of Tuesday's deadly blast in Beirut. Gould says Canada is also concerned about the country's economic situation, which was already extremely fragile before the explosion destroyed Lebanon's biggest port and caused widespread damage to its capital.
