Kahnawake Mohawks announce end to rail blockade
The Mohawks of Kahnawake announced they are ending a rail blockade that has halted rail traffic south of Montreal for more than three weeks. While the blockade was being dismantled, community members said they would move their camp and sacred fire to the foot of the Mercier bridge, where they would continue to express solidarity with the Wet'suwet'en hereditary chiefs in British Columbia.
