Guilbeault and McKenna say climate crisis still on federal government’s radar

At the close of a two-day federal cabinet retreat, Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault acknowledges that the immediate challenge of dealing with a potential second deadly wave of COVID-19 is preoccupying the government. But the former prominent environmental activist says it hasn’t forgotten that climate change is also a crisis. Infrastructure Minister Catherine McKenna says that threat is still there, and will be once the pandemic is over.
