Thousands gather on Parliament Hill to honour children

Several thousand people amassed on Parliament Hill Thursday for the first ever National Day for Truth and Reconcilation. First Nations elders and leaders called for a peaceful event, to remember and honour the survivors of residential schools and those who never got to go home again.
