Alberta eases further COVID-19 health restrictions

Alberta eases further COVID health restrictions. Text: Alberta Health Minister Tyler Shandro is further easing COVID-19 health restrictions, citing plateauing or falling case numbers. Retail stores and malls, which had been opened to 15 customer capacity, can now open to 25 per cent, Hotels, conference centres and community centres can host wedding ceremonies for no more than 10 people. Performance events and sports training is also eased. The province is seeing around 300 new COVID-19 cases a day, a steep drop from almost 1,900 a day before Christmas.
