Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland says her first budget will continue keeping Canadians afloat as long as the pandemic rages. It includes extending some existing emergency support benefits and creating some new ones and just over $100 billion in new spending to spur economic recovery, all of which Freeland insists Canada can afford.
