Newsroom Ready: Blanchet to gauge Parliament's support for Quebec language law reform
Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet says he plans to test Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other opposition parties with a motion in the House of Commons next week that will call on Parliament to support Quebec's proposed language law reform. The legislation, known as Bill 96, seeks to amend the Constitution to enshrine Quebec's status as a nation and its official language as French.
