Trudeau says ‘erosion of trust’ behind SNC-Lavalin controversy with his former attorney general
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held an early morning press conference on Thursday in which he expressed regret that he did not realize there had been a breakdown in trust between himself and his office and his former attorney general. Trudeau maintains nobody put inappropriate pressure on Jody Wilson-Raybould, but he has asked for outside experts to be consulted on the way political staff and public servants interact on justice files.
