Lindhout kidnapper sentencing sends ‘strong message’: Crown

An Ottawa judge has sentenced Ali Omar Ader to 15 years in prison for his role in the 2008 kidnapping of journalist Amanda Lindhout. Crown lawyer Xenia Proestos says the sentencing shows Canada takes such offences “very seriously.”
