Canadian soldiers helped mark Latvian independence with a parade through the streets of Riga, the occasion took on added significance as neighbouring Russia continues its war on Ukraine. Lt.-Col. Jérémie Gauvreau, deputy commander of Task Force Latvia, says Canada is playing "an essential role" in the Baltic country.
