Inmates at the jail in Yellowknife are learning outdoor skills including how to trap and skin animals, repair snow machines and survive on the land. Experienced trappers lead classes at the jail every two weeks through a program between the North Slave Correctional Complex and the territory’s Department of Natural Resources.
