Coutts protesters sentenced to 6 and a half years

An Alberta judge has sentenced Anthony Olienick and Chris Carbert to six and a half years in prison for mischief and weapons charges related to the blockade in Coutts, Alta. in 2022. The two men will received close to four years for time already in custody but their lawyers say they will appeal both convictions and sentences. (Sept. 9, 2024)
