Aid ship still anchored in Cyprus port ahead of pilot voyage to test Gaza sea corridor
A ship belonging to Spanish aid group Open Arms was expected to make a pilot voyage to Gaza from nearby Cyprus “as soon as possible.” Efforts to deliver aid to Gaza by sea have moved ahead, but the ship still remained in Larnaca, a Cyprus port on Sunday, Mar. 10. The ship is carrying 200 tons of food aid and will be the first to test Gaza's sea corridor, which is backed by the European Union together with the United States, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
