Newsroom Ready: Canadian astronauts assigned to new missions
Canada's two newest astronauts were given new marching orders, with one bound for a tour of the International Space Station while the other will serve as a backup on an highly anticipated upcoming lunar mission. Joshua Kutryk six-month mission aboard the space station will take place no earlier in 2025 while Jenni Gibbons has been assigned as the backup to Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen for the historic Artemis II mission to the Moon scheduled for next year.
