Newsroom Ready: China’s ambassador rejects accusations country is abusing Muslims
China’s ambassador to Canada, Cong Peiwu, said reports that hundreds of thousands of Muslims living in China are being abused or kept in concentration camps are not real. He said the local government of Xinjiang is conducting counter-terrorism measures. Those measures have worked, as the region hasn't had a terrorist attack, he said, in three years. Cong warned against Canada and other foreign countries intervening in Chinese internal affairs.
